A-League home fixture dates changed

Bristol Rugby have confirmed changes to the A-League fixture schedule ahead of the 2017/18 season.

The club will play selected matches on weekends rather than on Monday evenings, having sought agreement from Premiership Rugby and opposition clubs.

Head Coach Pat Lam said: “Monday night rugby had a significant impact on the first team training week and we want as many players available as possible for Tuesday morning training sessions leading into Championship weekends.

“Moving the A-League fixtures to weekends was the logical choice – it’s easier for our supporters to attend and another opportunity for us to play a fixture at a local club within our region.”

Bristol United will now host Bath United at Hornets RFC on Saturday, September 16th (1.30pm KO), before welcoming London Irish to Clifton RFC on Friday, September 22nd (7.15pm KO).

Then, on Saturday, November 18th (1pm KO), Bristol United host Gloucester United at Clifton RFC in Round Five of the competition.

Bristol United home A-League fixtures:

Saturday, September 16: Bath United (Hornets RFC) – 1.30pm KO

Friday, September 22: London Irish (Clifton RFC) – 7.15pm KO

Saturday, November 18: Gloucester United (Clifton RFC) – 1pm KO
