Bristol Rugby Academy U18 hooker Nick Freeman has been named in the Wales U18 training squad for forthcoming camps.
The Clifton College student, who can also play in the back row, has impressed in this season’s Aviva U18 Academy League and academy manager Mike Hall says Freeman’s call-up is thoroughly deserved.
“Nick has put in some very impressive performances in the U18’s League this season and it is great to see his efforts recognised by his call-up to the Wales training squad,” said Hall.
“He has shown his versatility by playing at both hooker and back row for the Academy U18 team and has been an integral part of Clifton College’s success over the past two years.

“Considering he only moved to hooker 18 months ago, his level of performance and the impact he has on games is even more impressive.”
If selected, Freeman could potentially line-up opposite academy teammates Will Capon, James Dun, Tom Rowland and Iwan Hughes when Wales U18’s take on England U18’s at Ebbw Vale RFC on Sunday, 26th March.
