Bristol Bears suffered a first defeat in six as Luke James' late try saw Sale take the spoils at Ashton Gate.

Bryan Byrne opened the scoring and Ioan Lloyd added two penalties, but 15 points from the boot of AJ MacGinty sealed the deal for Alex Sanderson's side.
