As it happened: Bristol Bears 20-13 Harlequins

Bristol Bears fought back from 10-0 down to beat Harlequins at Ashton Gate and record a second successive home win in the Gallagher Premiership, as 15 points from the boot of Ian Madigan and Pier O'Conor's first-half try sealed victory for Pat Lam's men.

8 minsTRY0-7 – Poor start for Bristol Bears, as Danny Care sneaks through a gap in the defence after a strong drive from the Harlequins’ pack. Lang converts.

15 minsPEN0-10 – Lang adds penalty for Quins after George Smith is penalised at breakdown inside Bears territory.

19 minsPEN3-10 – Ian Madigan is on target from 30 metres to get hosts on the scoreboard, after Quins flanker Luke Wallace is penalised for playing the ball on the floor.

21 minsYELLOW – Quins centre Ben Tapuai sin-binned for a technical offence in slowing the ball down, after Ed Holmes and Alapati Leiua combined to work an opening down the left-hand side.

31 mins – A superb high take from O’Conor sees the full-back release Alapati Leiua. The Samoan wing chips ahead and Care is in position to cover. But the scrum half carries over his own line and it’s a five-metre scrum to Bristol.

35 minsTRY - 8-10 – Andy Uren feeds Harry Thacker on a switch move and the hooker steams through an opening before offloading to Ian Madigan. The fly-half goes close to touching down but when it’s recycled, Uren's long pass picks out O’Conor, who touches down in the corner. Madigan's rushed conversion is off target.

38 mins – Quins respond and pile pressure on the home side, as Morahan covers a kick and carries over his own try line. But the Bristol pack wins a big penalty at scrum time and Madigan clears their lines.

40 minsPEN - 11-10 - Madigan knocks over the simplest of penalties from under the sticks, after Bristol backline combines to take play into Quins territory.

49 minsYELLOW – Quins prop, Joe Marler sees yellow for elbow to the head of Andy Uren when carrying the ball into the scrum half. Visitors down to 14 men again.

50 minsPEN14-10 – Madigan lands resulting penalty from 40 metres on the angle to extend Bristol lead.

53 minsPEN17-10 – With the Irishman in fine form from the kicking tee, he adds his fourth penalty of the afternoon after surging drive from Bristol pack.

57 minsPEN17-13 – Quins hit back as Lang lands long-range penalty to reduce deficit midway through the second half.

60 minsPEN - 20-13 – The visitors are penalised on the ground once again and Madigan kicks a glorious penalty from out on the touchline and all of 45 metres.

78 minsYELLOW - A third yellow card for Harlequins as Paul Lasike is shown a yellow card for late shoulder charge on Madigan, after referee Ian Tempest consults the TMO.

80 mins – Bristol Bears scramble to force crucial knock-on inside their own 22, as Quins press for the try that would level the scores.
