As it happened: Bristol Bears 27-27 London Irish

Bristol Bears were forced to settle for a draw, as Stephen Myler slotted a last-gasp penalty at Ashton Gate in a dramatic Gallagher Premiership clash. 

Nathan Hughes, Charles Piutau, Ed Holmes and Harry Thacker all touched down in a remarkable second half, to give Pat Lam's side a three-point lead heading into the closing stages. 

But the Exiles' fly half held his nerve in the 79th minute to earn a draw for the visitors.

26 minsPEN3-0 – Good pressure inside the 22 after neat work from Sheedy and Hughes - and when the penalty is awarded for a high tackle, Sheedy lands simple kick to open the scoring.

34 minsTRY - 3-7 – Irish hit back, as Hepetema gets his hands through the tackle and Rona links with Meehan for the try. Myler converts.

45 minsTRY8-7 – Try time, and it's brilliantly worked from the Bears. Lineout off the top and Sheedy feeds Morahan on the inside. From the next phase, Thacker breaks and locates Hughes with offload, which number eight collects and dots down. Conversion hits the post.

48 minsPEN8-10 – Chris Vui penalised for not rolling away and Myler lands simple penalty to put Irish back in front.

56 minsTRY15-10 – Glorious from the hosts, who break away to score through Charles Piutau. Fricker’s burst and offload finds O’Conor and the full back finishes it well under the posts. Sheedy converts.

59 mins – Coleman knocks the ball on as he attempts to ground it and it’s a let off for Bristol.

63 minsTRY15-17 – Naholo intercepts Sheedy's pass and races in from 60 metres. Myler converts and the Exiles are in front again.

67 minsTRY20-17 – But back come the Bears, as Thacker makes a trademark bust down the centre before Holmes shakes off four tacklers to touch down out wide for a fine solo score.

74 mins - YELLOW - John Afoa sent to the sin bin and both teams will finish this game with 14 men.

77 minsTRY20-24 – Irish take full advantage from the resulting scrum to score through Tom Parton. Myler converts from out wide.

78 minsTRY27-24 – This crazy game continues in a similar vein. Quick hands down the left-hand side sees Vui send Thacker in for the bonus-point try. Lloyd converts.

79 minsPEN27-27 – Agonising for Bristol, as Irish claim the kick off and win the penalty. Stephen Myler steps up to level the scores.
