As it happened: Bristol Bears 39-7 Gloucester Rugby

Bristol Bears ran in five tries and had nine disallowed on their way to a record Premiership victory over Gloucester at Ashton Gate.

After Matias Alemanno was sent off, Max Malins' try helped the Bears to a 13-7 lead at half-time as Santiago Carreras replied against the run of play.

Charles Piutau stretched the hosts' advantage after the break, and Ben Earl then powered over from close range.

Nathan Hughes crossed following a line-out to secure a bonus point, and Semi Radradra added a fifth at the death.

Re-live all of the action from Ashton Gate, as we dissect the key moments.

7 mins – PEN – 3-0 – Penalty at scrum time and Sheedy steps up to land 40 metre kick.

12 mins – PEN – 6-0 – Gloucester penalised for not rolling away and Sheedy nails another long-range penalty.

14 mins – TRY DISALLOWED – 6-0 – What a score - or not. Uren takes the tap penalty and Sinckler powers over, but TMO rules it out for knock-on.

16 mins – RED CARD – Alemanno dismissed for a dangerous tip tackle on Luatua and the visitors are down to 14 men.

18 mins - TRY DISALLOWED – Kerr goes over from a driving lineout but it’s ruled out again.

19 mins – CHANCE – Another chance goes begging, as Uren has ball dislodged as he drives for the line.

21 mins – HELD UP - This time Radradra is denied by a scrambling visiting defence and held up over the whitewash. Crazy start here.

23 mins - YELLOW - Rapava-Ruskin sin binned at scrum time as Bears apply the pressure.

28 mins – TRY – 13-0 – There it is. Morahan with the surge down the right and with penalty advantage, Charles Piutau and Sheedy combine to send Malins over. Sheedy converts.

36 mins - TRY DISALLOWED – Sheedy goes over for another scorcher, but the TMO intervenes again for a knock-on by Malins in build-up.

37 mins – TRY – 13-7 – Carreras goes over in the corner for Gloucester. Twelvetrees converts.

39 mins – CHANCE - Piutau goes over the line but has ball dislodged by Moyle. Chance missed.

48 mins - TRY DISALLOWED – Leiua in for the try this time, but once again it’s disallowed for a forward pass.

54 mins – 18-7 – Chris Vui, take a bow. Second row sells two dummies and goes clear before sending Piutau over.

61 mins - TRY DISALLOWED – Heinz gathers kick through to score but he’s offside and it’s ruled out.

66 mins – TRY DISALLOWED – Piutau crosses but it becomes the seventh Bristol try ruled out on the night. Madness.

67 mins – TRY – 25-7 – Earl powers over from driving lineout for Bears’ third and that looks to be the game. Sheedy converts.

75 mins – TRY – 32-7 – Bonus point time. Hughes powers his way to the line from driving lineout and Sheedy adds the extras.

80 mins – TRY – 39-7 – Finished with a flourish. Sheedy's no-look pass puts Radradra through the gap to score, and the number 10 lands the conversion too.
