Bristol Bears ran in five tries to make it back-to-back victories in the Premiership Rugby Cup with a 44-27 triumph over London Irish at Ashton Gate.
Mat Protheroe's double together with Nathan Hughes' first try in Bristol colours and scores from Harry Thacker and Andy Uren sealed the win for Pat Lam's men, with Tiff Eden kicking 19 points on his first competitive home start.

20 mins – TRY – 3-8 – First try of the afternoon goes to the visitors courtesy of Caolan Englefield, who collects Matt Williams’ deft offload to touch down in the corner.
24 mins – YELLOW – Bonus for Bristol, as Ruan Botha is sin-binned for deliberate knock-on in midfield.
26 mins – TRY – 10-8 – Bristol take full advantage of Botha's yellow card to touch down through Harry Thacker, who sneaks in the corner after well-executed set-piece from the hosts. Eden converts from out wide.
28 mins – TRY – 17-8 – It’s two tries in two minutes, as Mat Protheroe scythes through the Irish defence and hands on to Nathan Hughes, who finishes from 40 metres for his first Bristol try. Eden converts again.
45 mins – TRY – 24-8 – Bristol quick out of the blocks after half time, as Joe Joyce and John Afoa combine to send Andy Uren under the sticks for a well-worked third Bristol try. Eden converts.
50 mins – PEN – 27-8 – Eden steps up to land a monster penalty from all of 50 metres, to extend home side’s lead to 19 points.
56 mins – TRY – 27-15 – Irish go left from a five-metre scrum and Ben Loader steps inside to touch down and bring the visitors back into the game. Myler converts.
65 mins – TRY – 27-22 – Game on, as Loader goes in for his second of the half to narrow the deficit. Myler converts.
69 mins – PEN – 30-22 – Eden is on target again as Bears open up an eight-point lead heading into the final ten minutes.
75 mins – TRY – 37-22 - Hughes picks through the ruck to get Bristol on the front foot, and Harry Randall scoots right to send Protheroe over in the corner. Eden converts.
78 mins – TRY – 44-22 – A sensational score from Protheroe, who scorches down the touchline before stepping back inside and outstripping the Irish defence for a dazzling solo try. Eden converts.
80 mins – TRY – 44-27 – Jack Cooke pulls one back for Irish and in doing so, earns a consolation four-try bonus point.
