As it happened: Enisei STM 9-65 Bristol Bears

Nick Fenton-Wells scored a hat-trick as Bristol Bears stormed to a 65-9 victory over Russian side Enisei STM in the European Challenge Cup.

Bristol ran in 11 tries in total, with Piers O'Conor (2), Joe Joyce, Mat Protheroe, Jake Armstrong, Nick Haining, Sam Graham and Tom Pincus also touching down.

5 minsTRY0-7 – Sam Bedlow makes the initial break and after ball is recycled, Piers O’Conor applies the finishing touches. Sheedy converts.

7 mins – Great break from Uren straight from the kick-off, but Bristol turn the ball over on halfway.

9 minsYELLOW - Denis Simplikevich sin-binned for leading with the forearm in contact.

11 minsPEN3-7 - Home side get on the board as fly-half Ramil Gaisin lands a penalty after Bristol Bears are penalised for offside.

14 minsTRY3-12 – Good hands down the short side and Joe Joyce goes over for Bristol’s second try. Conversion missed.

19 minsPEN6-12 – Gaisin on target again for Enisei as they stay in touch in Sochi.

21 minsTRY6-17 – Sheedy kicks penalty to the corner and Fenton-Wells scores from driving lineout. Conversion is missed.

28 minsPEN9-17 – Bristol penalised for not rolling away and Gaisin kicks his third penalty.

35 minsTRY9-22 – Forwards pick and go close to the line, until the ball heads blind and Haining powers over to seal the bonus-point for Bristol. 

39 minsTRY9-27 – Minutes after having a try disallowed, Protheroe flies down the blindside from a scrum to touch down for Bristol’s fifth on the stroke of half-time.

52 minsTRY9-34 – Jake Armstrong scores after set-piece move from Pincus and Daniels creates an opening in Enisei defence. Sheedy converts.

54 minsTRY9-41 – Fenton-Wells applies the finishing touches to a sweeping counter attack straight from the kick-off. Stunning stuff from the away side. Sheedy converts.

60 minsTRY9-48 – Back-row Sam Graham scores from another counter attack just minutes after coming on as a replacement. Sheedy converts.

64 minsTRY9-53 – Pincus scores after good work from Sheedy, dummying and breaking to set up the wing, as Bristol pass the 50-point mark with a ninth try. Conversion is missed.

72 minsTRY9-60 – It's try number ten for the visitors, and it's a hat-trick for Fenton-Wells from another driving strong maul inside Enisei territory. Sheedy converts.

76 minsTRY9-65 – And that's the lot, as O’Conor’s second and Bristol's 11th try completes the scoring in an emphatic away win. The two sides meet again next weekend in the return fixture at Ashton Gate.
