As it happened: Harlequins 22-17 Bristol Bears

Bristol Bears earned a losing bonus point from a hard-fought Gallagher Premiership clash with Harlequins at The Stoop.

Jake Heenan's 71st-minute score cancelled out Joe Marchant's effort, but 17 points from the boot of Marcus Smith led Quins to victory, despite Callum Sheedy also kicking four penalties in a rain-soaked clash in West London.

3 minsPEN0-3 – Sheedy steps up to land long-range penalty to give the away side an early lead, after dominant Bears scrum against the head.

13 minsPEN3-3 – Smith levels things up from just inside the Bristol half after penalty awarded at breakdown. All square in the driving wind and rain.

16 minsPEN3-6 – Attritional start from both sides – and it's another penalty to Bristol, who are also given an extra ten metres for back chat, and it puts Sheedy in range and the fly half slots over from 40 metres.

30 minsPEN3-9 – The Bears scrum looking dominant at the moment and another penalty won gives Sheedy a simple kick from in front of the posts to give Bristol a six-point lead.

Sheedy lands a first-half penalty at The Stoop.

35 minsPEN6-9 – Roles reversed, as Quins win the scrum penalty against the head and Smith makes no mistake from in front.

39 minsPEN9-9 – Two penalties in quick succession for Smith, with Thomas deemed offside and the Quins number ten making no mistake from long-range to level the scores.

Jake Heenan touches down for the Bears (JMPUK).

58 minsPEN15-9 – Penalties galore at The Stoop, and this time it's Uren the man penalised. From the resultant kick at goal, Smith adds his fifth penalty of the afternoon.

60 minsPEN15-12 – But Bristol are quick to close the gap, with Sheedy landing his fourth penalty of the afternoon to close the deficit to three points.

67 minsTRY22-12 – Dombrandt's storming break and kick ahead forces Morahan to kick to touch - and from the lineout, Marchant races on to Landajo’s kick through to touch down. Smith converts.

71 minsTRY22-17 – Bristol hit back. Holmes makes ground down the right-hand side and when the ball is moved back the other way, a free flowing move sees O'Conor and Charles Piutau combine to send Jake Heenan over in the corner.

78 mins - Late drama in West London as Charles Piutau's stabbed kick forces Morris to carry the ball into touch five metres from the Quins line. But the Bristol lineout goes astray and the home side hold on for the win.
