As it happened: Harlequins 36-26 Bristol Bears

Bristol Bears struck late to earn a four-try bonus-point at The Stoop on Saturday afternoon, as Pat Lam's side fell to 36-26 defeat in the Gallagher Premiership.

Charles Piutau, Alapati Leiua (2) and Callum Sheedy touched down, but the hosts outscored Bristol by five tries to four.

1 min – Charles Piutau launches counter attack and Luke Daniels makes ten metres before being ushered into touch.

11 minsTRY0-7 - Superb from Sheedy, who breaks from deep and kicks ahead for Luatua. When the ball is moved to the left, Charles Piutau beats Brown with an outrageous step. Sheedy converts.

13 minsTRY7-7 – Quins hit back immediately, as Marchant scoops up loose ball on the edge of the ruck before kicking ahead for Chisholm to touch down. Smith converts.

19 minsTRY7-12 - Patient play from Bristol is rewarded with a second try, as Sheedy picks out Leiua in the left-hand corner with visitors playing penalty advantage.

25 minsTRY14-12 – Hosts take advantage of numbers on the right-hand side and Smith glides through a gap to touch down. Smith converts.

31 minsTRY19-12 - Dombrandt with the quick hands to release Elia Elia, and the hooker passes inside for Brown to score Quins’ third.

35 minsTRY26-12 – Glynn collects spilt ball in midfield before handing on to Joe Marchant for simple finish. Smith converts.

– Bristol piling on the pressure in front of Quins posts and are awarded penalty. Crane taps and goes but hosts withstand pressure and clear their lines through Mulchrone.

59 mins – Sheedy flat to the line again and his no-look pass is raced on to by Dan Thomas, who looks to be in the clear. But referee Tom Foley calls play back for an adjudged forward pass.

61 minsTRY26-19 – Sensational counter attack from Bristol, started by Charles Piutau and finished superbly by Sheedy, who collects Uren’s offload to sprint in from 40 metres. Sheedy converts.

66 minsPEN29-19 – Crane penalised at the breakdown and Lang obliges with the penalty from 40 metres to give hosts a 10-point lead.

76 minsTRY36-19 - Another sustained period of pressure from Quins ends with Nathan Earle finishing well in the corner for the home side’s fifth try. Lang converts from the touchline.

79 minsTRY36-26 – Madigan’s neat grubber is collected by Protheroe who feeds Leiua for his second and Bristol's fourth, securing a crucial bonus-point on the road for Pat Lam's men.
