As it happened: Newcastle Falcons 12-19 Bristol Bears

Bristol Bears completed a ninth Gallagher Premiership victory of the season with a 19-12 triumph over Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park on the final day of the 2018/19 regular campaign.

Charles Piutau, Piers O'Conor and Jack Lam all crossed for Pat Lam's men, who ended with the highest points tally from a promoted side since 2007.

10 minsTRY0-5 – Patient play from the Bristol pack who edge the visitors close to the whitewash, before Sheedy and Siale Piutau combine to send Charles Piutau over to score.

15 mins – Piutau steps inside and Bristol go close again, but Falcons steal and clear their lines.

30 mins – Sheedy’s chip ahead almost falls into the clutches of Piers O’Conor, but bounce goes against the centre.

32 mins – Vui’s inside pass sends Charles Piutau clear, but the full back’s pass evades Luatua, with Sheedy free on the inside.

38 mins – Electrifying break from Adam Radwan, who is hauled down by Piutau inside the Bristol 22. Thomas wins the turnover and Bristol clear.

41 mins – Matavesi breaks and finds Williams, who is tackled by Leiua, before Kibirige is bundled into touch.

46 minsTRY0-12 – Glittering stuff from the Bears, as the fleet-footed Piers O’Conor ghosts outside Toby Flood from a centre-field scrum to cruise in for Bristol’s second score. Sheedy converts.

54 minsTRY0-19 – And that's number three for Bristol, as Jack Lam powers over from close range after strong work from Thacker close to the line. Sheedy converts.

59 mins – Falcons break down the left, but Robinson is smashed into touch by Piutau and Thacker.

75 minsTRY7-19 – Gary Graham drives over from close range. Hodgson converts.

79 minsTRY12-19 – Johnny Williams rounds off sweeping Falcons attack from half way.
