As it happened: Zebre 20-17 Bristol Bears

Carlo Canna's late penalty condemned Bristol Bears to a narrow defeat in Saturday's European Challenge Cup clash in Zebre.

Tom Pincus' brace and seven points from the boot of Callum Sheedy saw Bristol Bears draw level with less than 15 minutes left to play, but Canna struck the decisive blow in the 79th minute to seal victory for the hosts.

12 mins – Zebre opt for the corner, but an overthrown lineout ensures Harry Randall can clear downfield to safety.

16 minsTRY - 0-7 - Tom Pincus finishes off a flowing move to dot down in the corner after Sam Bedlow’s break. Sheedy adds conversion.

29 mins – Zebre have the five-metre lineout, but fail to take advantage as Piers O’Conor forces the turnover.

33 minsTRY - 7-7 - Carlo Canna capitalises on space down the outside channel to scramble his way over, before converting his own score.

39 minsTRY - 14-7 - Jimmy Tuivaiti crashes over on the brink of half-time with a close-range effort. Canna slots the conversion as Zebre move 14-7 ahead.

40 mins - TRY - 14-14 – Bristol Bears respond immediately through Tom Pincus, who grabs his second of the game. The full back collects Callum Sheedy’s crossfield to touch down. Sheedy’s conversion levels proceedings.
