Bears announce Ravenscroft as new principal partner

Bristol Bears and Ravenscroft can reveal a ground-breaking partnership which sees the investment services group become principal partner ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Ravenscroft branding will feature on the new home, away and European jerseys as part of the agreement, which is the largest in the club’s history.

Ravenscroft, which has £7.45bn* of assets under administration, has offices in the UK, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. Since its inception in 2005, Ravenscroft has built a reputation as an investment services firm with high integrity and which is trusted by thousands of private and institutional clients around the world.

Bears chief executive Mark Tainton said: “We’re delighted to agree a partnership with Ravenscroft, which signals an exciting new chapter for Bristol Bears.

“Ravenscroft has built their success on integrity, exceptional customer service and a detailed knowledge of their industry. We share those values at the Bears as we strive to be a leader on and off the field.

Bristol Sport managing director Mark Kelly said: “In challenging economic times, the commitment of Ravenscroft to Bristol Bears is a testament to their shared belief in the club’s vision.

“This is a partnership where we see a number of mutually beneficial opportunities and we look forward to working closely with Ravenscroft and its stakeholders going forward.”

Ravenscroft group CEO Jon Ravenscroft said: “Supporting the communities within which we operate is a key pillar of our ethos and it’s fantastic to align that to Bristol’s vision of ‘inspiring community through rugby success.’

“This is an exciting step for us moving into the UK sports market and is a celebration of our commitment to grow our UK presence. The sponsorship also completes the circle of support with Ravenscroft chairman and owner of Bristol Sport Stephen Lansdown, who I have enjoyed a friendship with since he moved to Guernsey.

“The Ravenscroft team looks forward to engaging with the Bristol Bears, their fans and the wider business community.”
