Bears' Champions Cup opponents revealed

Bristol Bears will face Clermont Auvergne and Connacht in the pool stage of the 2020/21 Heineken Champions Cup.

Pat Lam's men have been drawn in Pool B and will face French and Irish opposition home and away in the previously announced new tournament format, which sees 24 clubs made up of eight representatives from each of the Gallagher Premiership, the Guinness PRO14 and the TOP 14 drawn into two pools of 12 – Pool A and Pool B. It is the club's first appearance in the competition for 13 years.

The fixture dates and times will confirmed in the coming weeks, but round dates are listed below.

Round 1: December 11/12/13,  2020
Round 2: December 18/19/20,  2020
Round 3: January 15/16/17,  2021
Round 4: January 22/23/24,  2021
Heineken Champions Cup quarter-finals, 1st leg: April 2/3/4, 2021
Heineken Champions Cup quarter-finals, 2nd leg: April 9/10/11, 2021
Semi-finals: April 30 – May 1/2, 2021
Final: May 22, 2021
