Bears to get season underway at Ashton Gate

Bears will kick off the Allianz Premier 15s season at Ashton Gate Stadium in a bumper clash versus Wasps on Saturday, November 19th (3pm KO).

In a weekend of women’s sport in BS3, Bristol City Women take on Birmingham in the Barclays Women’s Championship on Sunday, with fans able to purchase a unique joint ticket offer for just £10.

The ticket offer can only be redeemed if you add both the Bears Women game and City Women game to your basket. Once they are both added the discount will automatically be applied.

Head Coach, Dave Ward, said: “It’s going to be the most competitive league since the inception of the Allianz Premiership. We have seen the recruitment throughout the league which is only going to drive the standard; we will have to fight for every point.

We are going to need our supporters to get right behind us this season as we look to build on what we achieved last year”.

Following the release of the 2022/23 season fixtures, we’re also delighted to confirm our match ticket pricing for the new campaign.

The Allianz Premier 15s will begin in November, following the Women’s Rugby World Cup taking place in New Zealand this Autumn.

For Round 2, Dave Ward’s side will then make the short journey up the M5 to face Gloucester-Hartpury before taking on DMP Sharks at Shaftesbury Park at the start of December.

The New Year starts off with a bang against Harlequins on Saturday, January 7th, before Bears host Sale and Saracens in January.

The Bears will play their final home fixture against Exeter Chiefs on Saturday, May 20th, before rounding off the regular season in back-to-back away fixtures against Saracens and Wasps.

ALLIANZ CUP

Rugby returns to Shaftesbury Park when Bristol Bears take on Sale in the Allianz Cup on Saturday, September 17th (1pm KO).

Sale, Saracens, Loughborough Lighting and Wasps are the four teams the Bears will take on throughout September and October in the Allianz Cup.

The semi-finals and the final of the Allianz Cup will take place at the end of April.
