Braidwood Family To Tackle Ten Tors In Memory Of Fi

A 39-strong group will tackle a 35-mile hike across Dartmoor next weekend in memory of the 17-year-old sister of Bristol Rugby DPP member, Euan Braidwood.

Fi Braidwood was killed in a car accident last year aged just 17 and now, family and friends of the much-loved teenager will recreate the Ten Tors Challenge that she completed when she was 13-years-old.

Euan will repeat the feat again in May when he takes on the Ten Tors for a second time having completed it in 2016.

A Just Giving webpage has been set up with all money raised going towards the development of the Fiona Braidwood Education Fund, which will help fund the ambitions and potential of young people.

A message on the page reads: "This special fund has been created in memory of Fi Braidwood, from Banwell, North Somerset, who died aged 17 at Southmead Hospital on March 30th 2016, following a car accident in which she sustained a serious head injury.

"Fi loved learning and in her honour, we are creating a Fiona Braidwood Education Fund that will enable young people to enrich their learning, both locally where Fi herself studied and further afield at Durham University, where Fi had ambitions of studying."

LOVING: The Braidwood family on the night they pledged their commitment to walk for Fi on Dartmoor.
