Break The Cycle 2016 Fundraising Passes £25k

The fundraising total from Break The Cycle 2016 has now passed £25,000 – and there is still six weeks remaining to collect any last minute donations or sponsorships.

More than 200 cyclists saddled up on Sunday, 3rd July to take on the gruelling 110-mile route and raise money for Bristol Rugby Community Foundation – and since then, thousands of pounds has been raised.

Fundraising manager Sally Mabbutt said: “Congratulations and a huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored, collected or donated money to the Break The Cycle 2016 cause – we are delighted to pass the £25,000 mark and hope to see the total rise even further in the coming weeks.”

The provisional date for the 2017 event has already been pencilled into the diary for Sunday, 11th June 2017, with final confirmation expected in the coming weeks.

It gives prospective cyclists plenty of time to start their training for the 110-mile ride, covering Bristol, Bath and Gloucester.
