BRIS Trust Presents Annual Bursary To Rising Stars

The BRIS Trust presented two of Bristol Rugby’s brightest young talents with a cheque for £500 during half time of Boxing Day’s Aviva Premiership clash with Worcester Warriors at Ashton Gate.

Kyron Pearce and Reuben Davies were this year’s recipients of the annual bursary, awarded by the Trust to aid their development as rugby players.

Kyron is an Under 15 player and has already represented Bristol Rugby Academy on several occasions. The Broadoak School student, who is equally at home at centre or wing, spent the 2015/16 season playing up an age group for the Bristol Academy. The Weston Super Mare RFC product is a pacey outside back with an excellent fend and step to go with his natural speed.

Rueben, an under-16, is a hardworking, physical and uncompromising back row forward. The Old Reds product represented Bristol at the RFU U16's Academy festival at Warwick School in August, with a series of very impressive performances.
