Bristol Bears launch official mobile app

Bristol Bears is delighted to launch our official club mobile app, available to download on Apple and Android devices now.

The free app, built by priority SMS, includes a unique Augmented Reality (AR) function that will change the way supporters experience matchdays in BS3.

Fans will begin to notice the augmented reality logo appearing on key areas around Ashton Gate and in the match day programme. Anywhere this logo appears, supporters with the app can hover their smartphone and view extra content within the stadium.

The official Bears app can be downloaded from the links below:

Bringing matchday to life

We’re proud to be the first rugby club in the Premiership to add exclusive app video content to our matchday programme, bringing the publication to life.

Supporters who buy the matchday programme for Friday’s opening clash with Bath will be able to use the app’s camera feature to view messages from coaches and players, interviews with supporters in the Fan Village, as well as highlights and clips from previous games.

  1. Download and open the app (search for Bristol Bears on the app store).
  2. Login with your Single Sign On username and password (the same login you use for the ticketing and retail websites), or create one.
  3. Tap the menu icon in the top left and choose ‘AR’ from the options.
  4. Tap ‘Activate AR mode’ (you may need to allow the app access to your camera).
  5. Hover the camera over any image or page where the AR logo appears.
  6. Extra exclusive content will now play within the app, as an overlay on the page in the camera.
