Bristol Bears Women announce partnership with University of Bristol

Bristol Bears Women is delighted to announce a new partnership with the University of Bristol, the city’s leading university.

The long-term partnership will see players from the university team integrated into the Bristol Bears Women setup, allowing for the growth and development of women's rugby within both settings.

It will also enable both parties to share best coaching practice and facility resources, while providing a smooth pathway for talented students to compete in the Tyrells Premier 15s competition.

Matt Birch, director of sport at University of Bristol: “The University of Bristol is delighted to announce a new partnership with Bristol Bears Women. Over recent years, women’s rugby at the university has become increasingly successful and high profile, and the development of this relationship will provide further impetus for the sport.

“The collaboration will allow both parties to benefit from the sharing of best practice, as well and maximizing coaching and facility resources.

“It will also provide a smooth pathway for our most talented students that allows them to complete at the very pinnacle of the game.”
