Bristol Rugby Head To France For Pre-Season Camp

Bristol Rugby will travel to France for a week-long pre-season camp on Sunday.

Andy Robinson takes a 44-man squad to the Font Romeu base, situated 1800m above sea level in the Pyrenees.

Bristol continue their preparations for the Aviva Premiership campaign with the opening pre-season clash – versus Worcester Development XV on August 18 – less than a month away.

“The pre-season camp at Font Romeu will be beneficial to the squad for a number of reasons,” Director of Rugby Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“As well as the physiological benefits of training at altitude and in sunshine, the players have an opportunity to work hard and bond as a group in an unfamiliar environment.”

Bristol Rugby’s first team squad depart on Sunday, 31 July and return on Saturday, 6 August.
