Bristol Rugby Launch Supporter Bus Route

Bristol Rugby will provide a dedicated bus service for supporters at Ashton Gate Stadium during the 2014/15 campaign.

In partnership with First Bus, supporters will be able to utilize the route between Horfield Common and Ashton Gate on matchdays for a £2 return.

Bristol Rugby will be trialing the bus service throughout September in the Championship fixtures versus Worcester Warriors (Sunday, 7 Sept), Cornish Pirates (Sunday, 21 Sept) and London Scottish (Friday, 28 Sept).

The bus route, which begins at Horfield Common, runs down Gloucester Road and through the city centre, with a number of available stops. For full details, see the timetable on the Bristol Rugby website.

“This is a really positive initiative and one that we hope our supporters will take advantage of – we’re grateful to First Bus for their co-operation,” CEO Steve Gorvett told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“It’s important that we make Ashton Gate Stadium as accessible as possible for our supporters and that’s why – as we promised ahead of the move - we are providing a supporter’s bus service for minimal cost.

“We will trial the service during our opening three games to gauge its popularity. As ever, we are open to feedback about the service and supporter requirements in a year of transition for everybody involved with the Club.”

Simon Ford, Commercial Manager at First Group added: “We’re delighted to be in partnership with Bristol Rugby and playing our part in helping supporters get to and from Ashton Gate Stadium.
