Bristol Rugby to take on Nuts quartet in half-time rowing relay

They may have their sights set on rowing the Atlantic in December, but Nuts Over The Atlantic face another challenge this weekend, as they take on a four-man Bristol Rugby team in a half-time relay during the interval of Sunday’s Championship clash with Ealing Trailfinders.

The Nuts quartet - made up of Jon Lakin, Steve Baker, Dan Baker and Mark Gibson - will take on the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in little over ten weeks, rowing more than 3,000 nautical miles across the world's second largest ocean, the Atlantic.

They will face off with four members of the Bristol Rugby squad in a 2,000m static relay, with each competitor rowing 250m splits until they reach the end target.

Nuts Over The Atlantic hope to raise £100,000 for the Movember Foundation by rowing from San Sebastian in La Gomera to Nelson's Dockyard English Harbour in Antigua.
