Bristol Sport is pleased to announce local civil engineering and waste management contractors ETM as the new sponsor of the remodelled Dolman Stand.
The Bristol-based company is an established contractor specialising in all types highway maintenance and total waste management throughout the South West and has been a long-term supporter of Bristol City FC and Bristol Rugby Club.
ETM commercial director, Amy McCormack said: “We have always had a presence at the stadium, so it seemed like the natural progression to get involved when the opportunity arose.
“The rebuild is absolutely amazing for this city. To have a place where everyone can come seven days a week, and not just a football stadium. It's going to be a great thing for the South West."
Bristol Sport chief executive Andrew Billingham commented: “ETM is a local, family run firm and has been the stadium’s waste management providers for the last six years. I’m really pleased that we’ve managed to secure this three-year deal as sponsors of the newly developed Dolman Stand.
“As predominantly supporters of Bristol City football club, it is extremely encouraging that ETM has bought in to our vision of what we are trying to achieve here at Ashton Gate. By becoming a founder member of our Lansdown Club and a stand sponsor I’m proud to have them involved and look forward to a successful partnership.”
Pictured alongside Andrew Billingham and Amy McCormack is Bristol City club president Marina Dolman who's husband was behind the construction of the original Dolman Stand and former club chairman. After taking a tour of the newly remodelled stand, Marina Dolman commented:
"It is really wonderful, it doesn't feel like the old Dolman at all, but it really is quite special."
McCormack went on to add:
“It is so important to have a presence here and the way Bristol Sport has the ethos to support local businesses is fantastic. The Dolman Stand with its Market Street in particular, is going to support many local firms and traders. We have been trading in the city for 20 years, so it just made perfect sense for us to really get involved”.
Bristol Sport is part of the group of companies owned by Stephen Lansdown and manages Ashton Gate Stadium, which is currently undergoing a £45m rebuild to become a new 27,000-capacity mutli-use venue.
The full redevelopment will be completed next year when it will also become the largest conference and events venue in the south west of England.
