Bristol welcome Robbie Shaw back to the Club, after the scrum half re-signed for a second spell.
The USA international joins from Esher in National One. Shaw – who left the Club in 2011 after two seasons - made forty-two appearances for Bristol, scoring twice.
The 31 year-old will be loaned back to Esher but can be recalled by Andy Robinson when required.
“Robbie is an experienced individual who has a good relationship with the Club and our supporters. We know we can rely upon him if he’s called upon,” Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.
“Robbie’s arrival gives us extra depth and we’ve worked swiftly to ensure we go into the play-offs with four quality scrum-halves at our disposal.”
