More than 120 keen rugby players got to meet the Bristol squad as they took part in the launch of The Benchmarx Premier Rugby Academy.
Benchmarx Kitchens and Joinery are supporting Bristol Rugby's community involvement with a programme of seasonal training camps for keen youngsters which started today.
Over 120 eight to 16 year-olds took part in the first of the two-day 'Benchmarx Premier Rugby Academy'.
Four children were sponsored by the company as part of the programme and Community Rugby Coach, Karl Redgrave thinks its a great initiative: "It's for children that we work with in schools that wouldn't normally be able to come to one of these camps due to finically or social difficulty."
He added: "It's great for those young children who wouldn't normally have the chance to come and play rugby."
The children were joined by the full Bristol Rugby first team squad and Redgrave commented: "What a great opportunity. A lot of these children have never even seen a live rugby game, let along rubbing shoulders with the squad. It was brilliant."
