The new award launched by the Women’s Premiership Group with the RFU is voted on by players, coaches and support staff involved in the Premiership.
Based on nominations from the players in the Premiership 13 players have have made the shortlist with Izzy Noel Smith flying the flag for Bristol Rugby who finished fourth in the Premiership this season.
The list also features four players from Premiership champions Saracens as well as two from runners up Richmond. All clubs have a player nominated showing the strength of competition across the league.
Voting has now opened and runs until Wednesday, April 8th with the winner announced at the Senior Cup Final on Saturday, April 11th as well as being recognised at the Premiership Rugby End of Season Awards on Wednesday, May 20th.
This will be the first time a player award has been given by the Premiership and represents a huge step forward in promoting the women's league that is home to the majority of England internationals, as well as players from numerous other test nations.
