Bristol's Top Teams Go For Gold Together

Bristol City and Bristol Rugby have unveiled matching away strips for the 2016/17 season.

The two clubs are strengthening their unique relationship by donning gold change kits in the next 12 months, with navy flashes down the side panels.

With City aiming to compete strongly in the Sky Bet Championship and Bristol Rugby ready to embark on their first campaign back in the Aviva Premiership, the two clubs are proving that working together they are stronger.

Bristol Sport vice-chairman Jon Lansdown said: "It’s a very exciting time for both clubs, who now share one of the best stadiums in the UK.

“It is partnership everyone is proud of and we wanted to celebrate it with something unique.

“What is fantastic is that while both clubs have retained their strong identities, we've seen fans embrace both sports and back each other for success – I hope everyone enjoys proudly wearing the new kit.”

City fans who have been eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the 2016/17 away kit will be able to get their hands on it for the first time tomorrow.

The Bristol Sport Store at Ashton Gate will open at 10am ahead of the Championship home clash with Newcastle United – which is due to attract a 22-year high crowd.

For Rugby supporters, whose season begins on Saturday, September 3rd against Harlequins in the London doubleheader at Twickenham, there will be a special pre-order period, beginning at 10am tomorrow.

Fans can log-on to the online store and reserve their away kit – and also benefit from FREE delivery.

The football shirt boasts breathable interlocked side panels in regular fit, with a ribbed rear collar, plus The Robins embossed on the hip. Like with the home replica, the club’s hashtags will again be included.

It will be available in all sizes from mini kits (0-3 months) all the way up to 5XL. Adult shirts are £45 (junior £30), shorts £25 (£20) and socks £10 (£8).

Rugby fans can look forward to seeing the Aviva Premiership sleeve badge on their away shirt, plus a new modern collar and hashtags.

Shirt sizes range from 5-6 years all the way up to 5XL. Adult shirts cost £60, with juniors priced £45.

Season card holders and Forever Bristol members can take advantage of their usual discounts in-store only.
