Buckland-Hurry joins Worcester Warriors Women

Bristol Bears Women can confirm that Amelia Buckland-Hurry will leave the club this summer to join Worcester Warriors Women.

The second row’s move away from Shaftesbury Park brings an end to seven season spell in the West Country in which she had become a strong leader amongst the playing group.

Buckland-Hurry missed the entirety of the 2019/20 Tyrrells Premier 15s campaign as she recovered from an ankle injury sustained whilst on duty with the Barbarians in April 2019.

Head Coach, Kim Oliver, said: "Amelia is a natural leader and extremely hard working on and off the pitch. She constantly strives to develop her own game and in doing that lifts others around her.

“On the pitch she always gave us good go-forward ball with her carrying ability and a high work rate off the ball to always be an option.

“I would like to thank Amelia for her contribution to the club over her seven years here and we wish her all the best in her new challenge at Worcester Warriors.”
