Captain Tull hails hard work after U18s triumph

Bristol Bears U18 captain Aaron Tull said his side's hard work throughout the campaign contributed to their 13-5 win against Northampton Saints in the Premiership Rugby U18 Academy Final.

Xledger are principal partner of the Bristol Bears Academy.

Bristol-based Xledger provides cloud-based finance software for mid-market organisations. With more than 10,000 customers in over 60 countries, the Bristol office is currently embarking on a period of significant expansion.

Saints winger Frankie Sleightholme opened the scoring at Sixways Stadium before Louis Trevett powered over from close range to put the Bears into a 7-5 lead.

In a tense second 35 minutes, Sam Worsley kicked a penalty before extending his team's advantage to eight points with a second minutes later.

And for Tull, it was a fitting reward for all the work that has gone in over the course of the last eight months.

He said: "All the credit goes to the coaches and the boys.

"We've put the hard work in, we've been giving up our evenings to be here, and it's all worth it in the end. Just look.

"It's great fun coming through at Bristol Bears at the moment, we've got that energy where we turn up and get the job done, but everyone has fun while they do it."
