CEO Mark Tainton – Open letter to supporters

After a long and challenging 18 months, it feels fantastic to be edging ever closer to the return of full crowds at Ashton Gate – and what an occasion the opening day of the season against Saracens promises to be.

I must start by thanking each and everyone of our 10,000+ Season Card holders. To reach this incredible milestone is a hugely proud moment for everyone involved with the club and demonstrates the strides we are making on and off the field, as we continue with our vision to inspire our community through rugby success.

With two huge home fixtures in the opening three weeks of the season, we can’t wait to welcome you all back to Ashton Gate as we take on Saracens (Friday, September 17th) and Bath (Friday, October 1st). We are already expecting bumper crowds for both of these games, so make sure you get your ticket soon by clicking here.

We had a timely reminder of the noise and passion of our incredible supporters when we welcomed back reduced crowds for games against Gloucester and Harlequins – and after a season of empty stadiums and many challenges, your homecoming will be a memorable and emotional occasion for everyone.

Finally, thank you to Ashton Gate Managing Director, Mark Kelly and all of his Bristol Sport and Ashton Gate staff for their tireless work in ensuring fans can safely return to Ashton Gate later this month.

Regards,

Mark Tainton, CEO
