Chamberlain named in Scotland U20 squad for Six Nations

Academy fly-half, Nathan Chamberlain has been named in the Scotland U20 squad for the forthcoming Six Nations campaign.

The versatile fly half - who is studying at Hartpury College alongside his rugby - came through the age groups at Bristol Bears and represented Scotland U18s during the 2017/18 campaign.

Scotland U20 Head Coach, Carl Hogg, said: “We’ve chosen a well-rounded squad with talented players across the board.

“There are plenty of young, exciting players stepping up to U20 level for the first time in their careers and we hope that they can make a positive impact on the upcoming Six Nations Championship.

“We’ve prepared well and the focus is fully on facing Italy next week. There’s still work to be done but we’ve got every confidence in this year’s squad.”

Academy Manager, Mike Hall, said: "Everyone at Bristol Bears is delighted to see Nathan being selected in the Scotland U20’s squad.

"He has worked hard at his game over the year - in conjunction with Sean Marsden and the coaches at Hartpury - so his selection is well deserved. We look forward to seeing him make the match day squads in as many of the Six Nations games as possible."

Scotland U20 start their 2019 Six Nations campaign against Italy U20 at Netherdale on Friday, 1st February (7.30pm KO). Tickets are available at scottishrugby.org.
