Bristol Bears have secured the signing of dynamic and versatile forward Christiana Balogun from Wasps ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Balogun, who is comfortable in the second row and back row, scored six times in 19 appearances for Wasps during the 2021/22 campaign.
Head Coach, Dave Ward, said: “We’re excited that Christiana has decided to join the Bears. She has had an exceptional season in the Premier 15s and also found a nose for try line, and her athletic and dynamic style will suit the way we want to play the game perfectly.
“Christiana will add real competition to an area of our squad that is already very strong, and will no doubt assert herself when she will join up with the squad in preseason.”
Balogun added: “I’m delighted to be joining the Bears and really excited to get stuck into a new challenge. I’m looking forward to training at the World Class High Performance Centre and have heard so many great things about the rugby programme in Bristol.”
