Community Foundation's Corporate Tag tournament returns

Bristol Bears Community Foundation's Corporate Tag Rugby tournament returns this summer, with Ashton Gate hosting the exclusive invitation-only event on Tuesday, April 30th.

Last year's inaugural tournament saw 15 business from across the region go head-to-head, with KPMG emerging as the eventual winners.

A networking session accompanied by pizza follows an afternoon of fun-filled tag rugby action, with all proceeds from the tournament going towards the Foundation's award-winning community programmes.

“Last year’s Corporate Tag Rugby tournament was a huge success, so we’re looking forward to its return in April,” said Community Foundation manager, Craig Capel.

“All the teams and players taking part had a fantastic time playing on the Ashton Gate pitch, but more importantly, enjoyed raising money for our community programmes.”

The event is strictly limited to a maximum of 16 teams - mixed male/female, 10 per team.

The festival will be led by our Community coaching team, with assistance from graduates of our award-winning Eagle Project girl’s rugby programme.

Training sessions will be provided in the run up to the event for anyone who has not played tag rugby before, but we promise it is easy and inclusive.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine team building and networking with fundraising for the wide range of programmes that we support.

Entry is £875 (minimum donation) for a team of 10, which includes food, drink and tickets to a Bristol Bears fixture during the 2019/20 season.

To register an interest or confirm your attendance, please contact Paul Glanville (paul.glanville@bristol-sport.co.uk). Please register your interest by Friday, March 15th.
