Cosgrove departs by mutual consent

Jack Cosgrove has left Bristol Bears by mutual consent, the club can confirm.

The loosehead prop – who arrived in the summer of 2017 – departs with immediate effect to pursue first team opportunities.

Cosgrove made twelve appearances for Pat Lam’s men over the past two seasons, including one Gallagher Premiership appearance from the replacements bench during the current campaign.

Head coach Lam said: “Jack [Cosgrove] was keen to get some regular game-time and we fully support his decision.

“We couldn’t guarantee Jack as many minutes as he needs, so he’s moved on with our best wishes.

“On behalf of Bristol Bears, we thank Jack for his contribution and for the role he played in helping the team achieve promotion last season.”
