Crane appointed Bears Women forwards coach

Jordan Crane has been appointed as Bristol Bears Women’s forwards coach ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The back rower – who captained Bristol Bears last season – joins Kim Oliver’s coaching team at Shaftesbury Park.

Crane – who previously coached North Bristol RFC in Gloucester One – holds an RFU level three coaching qualification.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to work with Bristol Bears Women and develop my coaching skills at the same time,” he said.

“They’re a hugely talented group of forwards with international experience and a great attitude to improve.

“The connection between the men’s and women’s teams is so strong and it’s fantastic that we have such a strong relationship and an alignment in our vision. We all play under the same badge and share the same philosophies, so I’m delighted to be able to contribute.”

Bristol Bears Women Head Coach, Kim Oliver, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jordan on board as the club’s new forward coach ahead of the new Tyrrell’s Premier 15s season.

“He has a wealth of experience from playing at the highest level for a number of years and the knowledge he is going to be able to pass on to our players is going to be invaluable as we push towards our goal of the top four.

“We already have a fantastic relationship with Bristol Bears in which we share the same vision, philosophies, as well as club culture and Jordan’s appointment strengthens our bond further.

“It is truly an exciting time to be involved with Bristol Bears Women.”
