Eight Bears Women selected to represent Wales

Bristol Bears Women have had eight players named in Warren Abraham’s Wales squad for the upcoming Six Nations tournament.

Siwan Lillicrap will skipper the side for the rescheduled tournament, which is set to commence on Saturday, April 3rd. Natalia John and Manon Johnes are also among the seventeen forwards named.

Keira Bevan returns to the Wales squad following her successful rehabilitation from a long-term hamstring injury. Gemma Rowland is also set to feature in her first Six Nations tournament in recent years after being recalled to the squad.

Elinor Snowsill, Courtney Keight and the free-scoring Jasmine Joyce have also been included in Abraham’s 32-player squad.

This year’s tournament will undertake a new format, which sees the six nations split into two pools of three.

Wales have been drawn into a pool with France (Saturday, April 3rd, 8pm KO) and Ireland (Saturday, April 10th, 5pm KO).

Following the two pool games, teams will be placed in either first, second or third.

All nations will have a third fixture against the team in same position as them in the corresponding pool on Saturday, April 24th, which will determine final placings for the 2021 Six Nations.
