England ran in seven tries and extended their recorded winning run to 29 Tests in a row, but it wasn’t to be for Wales who lost to tournament hosts New Zealand.
Sarah Bern made her 50th appearance, whilst Abbie Ward scored for England in a dominant display against Australia under the torrential rain in Auckland on Sunday, 41-5.
Marlie Packer scored a hattrick and was joined on the scoresheet by Sarah Hunter, who became the most capped England and women's international (138), Amy Cokayne and Alex Matthews.
The Red Roses will face Canada in Saturday’s semi-final, England last won the World Cup in 2014.
The previous day Wales battled hard against New Zealand but were only able to score points through the boot of Kiera Bevan, 3-55.
