Jo Yapp’s side ran in four tries to topple Canada 27-17 and secure a 3-0 series victory.
England applied the pressure early on in the first half and got the first score of the game via a penalty try when the Canadians brought down an English scrum only five metres out.
The Canadian’s responded through Sophie De Goede, but a penalty from the boot of Lucy Attwood and a score from prop, Ellena Perry saw the young Red Roses go into the half 15-5 up.
Bristol Bears Women’s, Phoebe Murray was instrumental in England’s third score as she broke from deep and weaved her way past multiple defenders, before offloading to Sarah Beckett to slide over. Abbie Dow’s then burst through the defence from 25 metres out to stretch England’s lead to 27-5 and all but secure the game and title.
Canada put up a late fight and narrowed the deficit to 27-17 when Maddison Gold and Hannah Daniels crossed in the late stages but the young Red Roses held on to secure an historic victory and bring the Tri-Nations Cup back across the Atlantic.
The result capped a 3-0 series victory after previous wins against Canada (22-36) and the USA (17-43) in which six Bristol Bears Women were selected for each fixture.
