Ford-Robinson Follows Kessell To Bristol

Jamal Ford-Robinson has agreed terms to join Bristol Rugby, the Club today confirmed.

The 21 year-old prop arrives from Cornish Pirates on a deal until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

One the most exciting prospects in the Greene King IPA Championship, Ford-Robinson will be loaned back to Pirates with immediate effect.

Born in Bristol, the powerful ball carrier – who can play across the front row – came through the Leicester Tigers Academy before a move to the Mennaye Field in 2014.

“Jamal has the potential to be a very good player – he’s got the attitude and attributes to go far in the game,” Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“We will be looking to develop Jamal as a tighthead prop. Alongside Ellis Genge at loosehead, we now have two young, very talented front rowers who will continue their rugby development with us over the next eighteen months.

“Jamal has performed well in the Championship with Cornish Pirates – he’ll stay at the Mennaye for the time being, but could play his part for us later in the season.”
