FREE bus travel for Cardiff game

All fans will be able to use the AG3 matchday bus for FREE when Bears host Cardiff Rugby in the much-anticipated Anglo-Welsh friendly (Fri 11th Nov, 7.45pm).

The AG3 services stops at Temple Meads, Broadmead and the city centre before dropping right outside Ashton Gate.

This is ideal for fans to connect with dozens of public bus routes across Bristol and services which stop at Bristol Coach Station. Click here to view the First Bus Bristol route map.

The AG1 Portway Park & Ride and AG2 Brislington Park & Ride will operate with standard fares and provide free parking as usual.

Services will depart between 1715 and 1915 on all routes as follows:

  • AG1 Portway Park & Ride - every 25 mins
  • AG2 Brislington Park & Ride – every 30 mins
  • AG3 Temple Meads via Broadmead & centre - every 15 mins

Route maps, tickets and pricing can be found at https://www.bcfc.co.uk/travel/ but please note the different frequency of services as listed above for this fixture.

Parking

Free parking is available at Portway Park & Ride and Brislington Park & Ride. Fans can use the AG1 and AG2 services which drop and depart from Winterstoke Road, right outside the stadium. See above for further details.

Walking/Cycling

Fans walking or cycling from the city centre and harbourside are advised that Gaol Ferry Bridge is closed for repairs. Vauxhall Bridge and Bedminster Bridge remain open. Full details Gaol Ferry Bridge restoration (bristol.gov.uk).

Clean Air Zone

Bristol’s Clean Air Zone (CAZ) starts on 28th November and fans are being encouraged to check whether they will be affected.

From Monday 28th November, non-compliant vehicles will be charged between £9 and £100 per day to drive through the zone in central Bristol.

Although Ashton Gate itself sits just outside of the zone, some roads near the stadium are within it and thus we encourage fans to carefully plan their journeys before the CAZ goes live.

Full details on the CAZ including maps, schedule of charges and a vehicle compliance checker can be found at www.cleanairforbristol.org/caz/ .
