Gate Guide: Rotherham Titans

Unbeaten Bristol Rugby host Rotherham Titans as Championship rugby returns to Ashton Gate on Saturday (12.30pm KO).

Here’s a guide of what to expect if you’re heading to Ashton Gate.

STADIUM

The South Stand, Dolman Stand and Lansdown Stand will be open for home supporters.

The Atyeo Stand will not be open on rugby matchdays. There will be a minute's silence and a visit from North Bristol Squadron cadets, plus bugler George Berry will be playing the Last Post.

TICKETS

A large walk up is expected on Saturday morning, with over 7,000 tickets sold so far.

Bristol City season card holders can claim a free ticket for this game, with over 1,200 taking advantage of the offer already. For information, click here.

The match is pay on the day, with tickets also available online and over the phone. To purchase on the day, call Supporter Services between 9am-10.30am, or visit the Matchday Ticket Office - adjacent to the Atyeo statue - from 9am.

PARKING & TRAVEL

The Bristol Rugby shuttle bus, in conjunction with First Bus, will be running as usual on Saturday.

SPORTS BAR & PIZZERIA

The Fan Village will be in operation, with a raft of food and drink outlets, while the Sports Bar & Pizzeria will open its doors to supporters from 10am. The Coffee Shop also opens at 10am.

Stay after the Bristol game and enjoy the England vs Argentina clash on largest indoor pub screen in the country, followed by Wales vs Australia. There will also be a Q&A with man of the match in Doughballers.

STORE

The Store at Ashton Gate will open from 9am. Home and away kits are in stock.

CLUBHOUSE

A new post-match area, in the concourse area connected to the Sports Bar, will be open after the final whistle as a place to mingle, as well as meet players and coaches.

MATCHDAY MAGAZINE

The new-look matchday programme will be on sale around the ground, as well as from the matchday ticket office and the food and drink concession stands inside the stadium, following feedback from supporters.

As well as the usual selling points, programmes will be available for purchase in S2, S3 and D1 concessions.

RUCKSACKS

Ashton Gate Stadium asks supporters not to bring large rucksacks on matchdays, following advice from the National Counter Terrorism Office and Avon and Somerset Police.

Fans will still be able to bring smaller handbags into the stadium, although these will be subject to the usual search process.

An Ashton Gate spokesman said: “The searching process will always be subject to change and whilst there is no specific threat to any Sports Ground, we must ensure that we remain vigilant and the message to spectators is to ‘Be Alert not Alarmed’.”

If larger bags are brought to the stadium, they will be subject to a thorough search, with a bag and tag procedure in place.
