Genge Set For Plymouth Dual-Registration Agreement

Bristol Rugby's Ellis Genge has joined Greene King IPA Championship rivals Plymouth Albion on a dual-registration agreement with immediate effect.

The Academy prop - who has made three appearances for Bristol so far during the campaign - makes the switch to Brickfields, but can be recalled by the Club when required.

An England U20, highly rated Genge is in his second year with the Bristol Rugby Academy.

"This is a good opportunity for Ellis to get some game-time whilst playing at a very competitive standard," Academy Manager Mike Hall told bristolrugby.co.uk.

"Regular exposure in the Championship will be fantastic for Ellis' development. He's a young man learning his trade at prop and he has a bright future ahead of him at Bristol.

"We will be monitoring Ellis' progress down at Plymouth - and through the England U20s Six Nations camp - very closely, and the aim is for him to come back richer for the experience.

"We are looking at dual-registration options for a number of our Academy players in the second half of the season."
