Getting to the Gate - Gloucester Rugby

With a bumper crowd coming to Friday’s game against Gloucester (7:45pm KO), here’s a handy guide showing you the best way to Ashton Gate Stadium.

Fans will be able to take advantage of extensive bus routes to attend the West Country derby versus the high flying Cherry and Whites.

AG1 - Portway Park & Ride

  • First departure: 5:30pm
  • Last departure: 7:10pm
  • Frequency: every 20 minutes

  • Collects: along the Portway at Station Road, Woodwell Road, Park Road, Riverleaze, Roman Way
  • Drop-Off: Winterstoke Road entrance, Ashton Gate

  • This service will be operating at improved frequency post-match during the 2018-19 season

AG2 - Brislington Park & Ride

TICKETS AND FARES INFORMATION

  • AG1, AG2, AG3, AG4, AG5 and AG6 are operated by First Bus
  • Single tickets - cost £2 via the First Bus app (download here [insert link]) or £2.50 if purchased on board
  • Return journeys – purchase a First Day Ticket for £4 via the First Bus app (download here) or £5 if purchased on board. Day tickets allow unlimited travel within the Bristol area and are valid on all First Bus services including the match day buses, MetroBus but excluding Airport Flyer
  • Concessionary pass holders can use their passes to travel free of charge
  • Up to two children (under 16) can travel free of charge with a fare paying adult

Service A - Brislington and Bristol Temple Meads

  • Departs: Brislington, Eagle Road and Bristol Temple Meads: 6.45pm
  • Frequency: two buses
  • Journey time: 15 minutes from Temple Meads / 30 minutes from Eagle Road

Service A is operated by Abus. Single £2 / Return £3 (season card holders return = £2). English concessionary card holders travel free.

TRAIN

  • Parson Street station is a 15-minute walk and serves much of Somerset, South Wales and Bristol (Temple Meads is a 5-minute journey by train from here)
  • Bristol Temple Meads is the nearest mainline station, a 40-minute walk and connected to Ashton Gate by the AG5 (see above)

WALK

  • Fans are likely to find walking is the quickest and easiest way to/from the stadium
  • Most of south, west and central Bristol are within an hour’s walk
  • East Street, St John’s Lane, Clifton Village and the city centre are all accessible in under 30 minutes

CYCLE

  • There are 96 cycle parking spaces outside the South Stand along with a free bike pump
  • YoBike parking spaces available at the Ashton Road end of the Stadium
