Our matchday bus services will operate, however, due to a northbound road closure on Brunel Way (see below) we strongly encourage supporters to use the earliest service possible on all routes as we cannot guarantee that later services will arrive before kick-off.
Pre-match all routes will operate 15 minutes earlier than usual with departures from 1415 to 1615. Off-peak fares will be valid on the first departure at 1415 only.
Full details of the standard services can be found at www.bristolbearsrugby.com/travel .
The A3029 Brunel Way will be CLOSED NORTHBOUND at Avon Bridge (the fixed bridge across the River Avon, near the Create Centre) which is likely to have a significant impact on traffic before and, especially, after the game.
We encourage fans arriving by car to consider avoiding the area and to park further away from the stadium before completing your journey on foot, if possible.
Fans heading home by car to north of the river Avon should use alternative bridges such as:
The Brunel Way southbound slip-road to Clift House Road (near the Riverside Garden Centre) is also closed due to a recent burst water main.
Please note there are other works in central and south Bristol including:
University of the West of England open days are taking place in central Bristol during the morning and afternoon. There may be additional vehicles on the road and parking may be affected.
Meanwhile, Wales host New Zealand at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff (15:15 kick-off). The M4, M5, M48 and M49 may be busier than usual, compounded by rail strikes (see below).
Wherever you are coming from, we strongly advise fans to leave additional time for their journey.
Due to strike action, extremely limited services will operate on the railways with all journeys needing to be completed by 18:30. Please visit https://www.gwr.com/strike for full information.
Fans walking or cycling from the city centre and harbourside are advised that Gaol Ferry Bridge is closed for repairs. Vauxhall Bridge and Bedminster Bridge remain open. Full details Gaol Ferry Bridge restoration (bristol.gov.uk).
Bristol’s Clean Air Zone (CAZ) starts on 28th November and fans are being encouraged to check whether they will be affected.
From Monday 28th November, non-compliant vehicles will be charged between £9 and £100 per day to drive through the zone in central Bristol.
Although Ashton Gate itself sits just outside of the zone, some roads near the stadium are within it and thus we encourage fans to carefully plan their journeys before the CAZ goes live.
Full details on the CAZ including maps, schedule of charges and a vehicle compliance checker can be found at www.cleanairforbristol.org/caz/.
