Henbury Golf Club raises £18k for Community Foundation

Henbury Golf Club presented a cheque for £18k to the Community Foundation during the half-time interval of the derby victory over Bath at Ashton Gate, after nominating the Foundation as the official beneficiary of its Captain’s Charity Day.

The event, held on Friday, August 20th, saw teams of four go head-to-head before the evening was signed off with an auction.

Community Development Manager, Craig Capel, said: “Huge thanks must go to Tom and Andy Besant for organising the event, and to captain Tom De Burgh Williams, for choosing us as the beneficiary charity.

“All of the funds raised will go towards the continuation of life-changing work in the Bristol community - in particular, in and around Henbury.”
