Gavin Henson has joined Bristol Rugby with immediate effect after agreeing an early release from Bath.
The 33 year old linked up with Andy Robinson’s squad on Wednesday and will be eligible to play during the 2014/15 Greene King IPA Championship season.
A British & Irish Lion in 2005, Henson initially signed a one-year deal with the Club to arrive in the summer.
“We thank Bath for their co-operation in this matter and agreeing to Gavin’s early release,” Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.
“Once he has integrated into our squad, Gavin will be considered for selection and we look forward to seeing him in a Bristol jersey in the near future.”
