A second-half fightback wasn't quite enough for a youthful Bristol Bears as they were edged out in a high-scoring thriller at Kingsholm on Saturday.
The Bears trailed 31-10 midway through the second half after tries from Tom Whiteley's try was cancelled out by scores from Jacob Morris, Jack Clement, Ciaran Knight and Seb Atkinson.
But the visitors rallied after the break with James Williams darting over for a try on 59 minutes to go with five successful kicks at goal and a 16-point haul.
