Sean Holley has committed his future to Bristol Rugby, the Club are have confirmed today.
The First Team Coach – who joined in the summer of 2013 – has penned a new deal.
Highly regarded among supporters and players alike, Holley’s partnership with Andy Robinson has seen Bristol emerge as one of the most progressive rugby clubs in the UK.
“We’ve come a long way in the two seasons I’ve been here so far. I feel we’re on a journey and we have unfinished business here,” the 44 year-old told bristolrugby.co.uk.
“When I arrived here, I talked about my ambition to coach Bristol in the top flight. That hasn’t changed. You’re always flattered by interest from other clubs but I’m genuinely excited about what we have to look forward to at Bristol Rugby.
“We are putting together a high quality backroom staff and working with them and Andy [Robinson] has been excellent. We challenge each other and share a common goal. I am delighted with the player’s attitude and they have bought into the ambition and the group that we have here now is a quality blend of youth and experience.
“Ashton Gate and the continued redevelopment just underlines the direction Bristol are going. The prospect of 27,000 passionate Bristolians at the Gate in two years time is something we all want to be involved in.
“I believe that we can get promoted this season and, not only that, we can flourish in the top flight. I’m incredibly ambitious and wouldn’t be here if I didn’t think that was the case.
“I’ve loved my time at Bristol so far. The supporters have been unbelievable and they deserve success. It’s my job to try and deliver it and we are all relishing the play-offs and the challenges that May will bring.”
