Hospital staff get active with Community Foundation

Bristol Bears Community Foundation and Southmead Hospital Charity have teamed up to offer NHS staff a unique opportunity to get fit.

‘Move Like A Pro’ is a free 12-week exercise programme designed and delivered by Premiership Rugby and the Community Foundation to help staff from North Bristol NHS Trust get active.

The once-weekly exercise session takes place at Horfield Leisure Centre on Tuesdays at 5.30pm.

Craig Capel, Community Development Manager, said: “Join your North Bristol NHS Trust colleagues at Horfield Leisure Centre on a journey to feeling fitter, happier and healthier.

“Whilst the programme has been designed by Bristol Bears community coaches, you don't have to be a rugby fan to join in.
“Our sessions will use a range of fun games and challenges to achieve our outcome of getting more people moving more of the time.”

Adrian Brown, corporate and community manager for Southmead Hospital Charity said: “We are thrilled to be able to partner with Bristol Bears to offer staff at North Bristol NHS Trust this truly unique chance to work with the rugby club’s community coaching staff.

“Why not use this fitness drive as a motivation to sign up to a fundraising challenge like the Bristol 10k or 5k Tough Mudder?”
